California's Electric Bike Incentive Program
California's Electric Bike Incentive Program was created to incentivize residents to transition from traditional gasoline-powered vehicles to electric bikes. The program offers both financial and environmental benefits, and here's how it works:

Financial Incentives: The program provides vouchers, up to $2,000, to individuals who purchase qualifying e-bikes. These incentives aim to make e-bikes a more affordable and attractive option for Californians.

How Do I Qualify?
- E-Bike Incentive vouchers will be granted to California residents who are 18 years or older that meet the defined income requirements.
- A portion of the incentives are set aside for priority applicants of a defined income range or that reside in a low-income/disadvantaged community.
What E-Bike can I buy, and where can I buy it?
- New Class 1, 2 and 3 electric bikes with an electric motor of less than or equal to 750 watts, operable pedals and integrated front and rear lights.
- Eligible e-bikes must have a minimum one-year manufacturer warranty and be fully assembled.
- E-bikes may only be purchased at approved brick and mortar stores and online retailers.
How much is the incentive?
- $1,000 – Base incentive voucher
- +$250 – Additional for priority applicants
- +$750 – Additional for purchase of approved cargo or adaptive e-bike
- $2,000 – Maximum total amount
